Here at UrbanJourney we feel pretty lucky to be part of the Working Capitol community, not only because we have a super sweet space to get down to work, but also because at the end of the day there are tons of cool spots just a stone’s throw away to have a chilled drink and tasty bites. And Bar Piccolo, one of the newest offerings in Singapore's Keong Saik hood and nestled within the TWC building, is a hidden bar fast becoming one of our firm favourites for a post-work spritz.
Why you should come here:
Brought to us by the same folks behind Luxe, Bar Piccolo is located right upstairs from the modern Australian restaurant in the Working Capitol beer garden. The al fresco terrace is covered to protect against the elements, but open to views of the historic shophouses of Keong Saik Road. Grab a seat at one of the marble-topped tables and order up a few Aperol Spritzes, glasses of Prosecco, or one of their creative cocktails.
What we love:
The space is open and airy, the vibe is relaxed, and the service and cocktails are spot on. Try to bag a seat next to the railing so you can do some people watching from your perch above the street. The drinks are refreshing and suit the contemporary feel of the space, and if you get peckish, you can order small plates from sister venue Luxe.
Bar Piccolo is Singapore’s first Aperol Spritz bar, so naturally that should be your first drink of choice.
