Part boutique bottle shop and part elegant drinking den, Maison du Whisky is home to one of Singapore’s largest collections of whiskies and premium spirits. The company was founded in Paris in 1956 and opened up digs in Singapore in 2006, which is a blessing for those of us who enjoy a fine dram and want to learn more about all things distilled.

With over 400 bottles of whisky and more than 100 premium spirits on offer, you’re pretty spoiled for choice when it comes to picking your poison at Maison du Whisky. The owners are real collectors, so they seek out the best of the best and hard-to-find labels, and their stock is always rotating, so there is always something new to sample. Inside you’ll find an intimate bar where you can pick the knowledgeable bartenders’ brains, and outside there are al fresco tables for sips amid balmy Singapore breezes.

You would think with such a prestigious collection gracing their shelves that this might be one of those too-cool-for-school spots, but actually the staff are super friendly and quick to offer suggestions based on your tastes or the latest arrivals. They also host regular workshops and tasting sessions where you can sample various whiskies, gins and creative cocktails.
