There’s really only one place in Singapore for beach babes and boys to go for a party, and that place is Tanjong Beach Club. Set on a pretty stretch of golden sand on Sentosa Island, this sleek spot features a huge aquamarine pool, oversized loungers on the sand, and a two-storey dining room with an entire wall of windows so you can gaze out at the water as you indulge in fresh seafood creations. By day it’s a prime suntanning andcocktail sippingspot, and by night it turns into one big beach party withDJs playing beatsas revellers dance on the sand.

Even though Tanjong Beach Club is just a hop, skip and a jump from Singapore’s downtown core, the whole set-up and seaside location will make you feel as though you’re on holiday. Come in the day to hang out by the pool, soak up the sun on the beach, and grab some brunch or light lunch in the dining room, then stay on or come back after dark because the atmosphere changes from lazy days by the pool to late-night dance sessions with your toes in the sand.

How can you not love a sunny beachfront spot where it’s totally acceptable to sip tropical cocktails all day long? In fact the whole vibe here is totally chill and you get tons of different people dropping by; from hipster types rocking bikini bods to families with kids and everything in between. The food is also solid, especially if you’re into seafood. Try the Snapper Ceviche with lime, mango, coconut, ginger, radish and sweet potato chips and the Barbecue Octopus Salad with fresh baby spinach, quinoa and bursts of flavour from the pomegranate, orange and tangy sherry vinaigrette.

If you’re looking for a party, be sure to keep up to date with the TBC Facebook page; it’s always throwing fab events with far-out DJs spinning everything from disco to house, and soul to electro-boogie. And if you’re feeling a bit rough from a big Friday or Saturday night out, TBC also does a mean weekend brunch every Saturday and Sunday with hangover helpers like the Truffled Eggs and Ham and Chorizo Quesadilla, as well as some healthier options like the Acai Bowl and the Honey Yoghurt Parfait.
