Dutch Colony Coffee

by URBAN JOURNEY
Dutch Colony Coffee

Offering what they call a ‘bean to cup experience’, Dutch Colony Coffee Co. sources primo beans from around the equator, roasts them in house and then brews them using either their super-amped up Steampunk MOD machine or a variety of hand brewing methods. Head to their Frankel Avenue locale for a cuppa and a slice of cake, or drop by PasarBella to grab great beans to take home.

Why you should come here:

The cafe at Frankel Avenue is chic and contemporary with a mix of grey and green tiles and seating outside on the patio, at a long communal table in the main room, or under a skylight in the back. The vibe is casual and chill, and the coffee is brewed to order by a team of baristas who take their job seriously and even compete in comps including Dutch Colony Coffee Co’s very own annual Latte Art Pourdown.

What we love:

This is a great place to come if you’re in the East and craving a specialty coffee and a sweet treat. We love the cold brew coffee here, as you can really taste all the bold flavours of the single origin beans. Props also go out to the Thai Milk Tea Cake and the tasty brunch dishes like the Croque Monsieur and Colonial Beef Burger.

UJ tidbit:
