ROBERTSON QUAY has a fresh new cafe located on top of Common Man Coffee Roasters and sharing space with the Yoga Movement studio. In fact, Grounded is brought to us by the folks downstairs, so you know the coffee is going to be superb. Also on offer are wholesome dishes made with organic ingredients like fresh fruit, veggies, nuts and seeds.
Why you should come here:
Al fresco areas allow tons of fresh air and sunlight to pour in through the lush greenery, and the cobalt blue walls, dark wooden floors and blonde wood and wicker furnishings create a sense of coziness and calm. This is a sweet little spot to pop into after a yoga session to refuel with healthy eats and get your caffeine fix.
What we love:
If you’re going for something light and tasty, try the Mushroom & Cheese Toastie with rosemary mayo, provolone, pecorino and kale or one of their gluten-free Beetroot Brownies. For something a bit more substantial the Redemption bowl is a good bet with roasted veggies, chickpeas, nuts, seeds and organic poached eggs drizzled with tahini. And if you’re not on a super health food kick, we highly recommend the Matcha Pancakes and the Balance Burger with folded organic eggs, streaky bacon, kale, spring onions and sriracha mayonnaise on a seeded brioche bun.
If you’re going with a group of five or more, it’s best to make a reservation as space can be limited. If you do rock up without a reso and find the wait times too long you can always grab some their great coffee, cold-pressed juices and food to go.
