CLARKE QUAY - New to Clarke Quay is VLV, a multi-function dining, entertainment and nightlife venue housed in a historic building along the riverfront. Spread across 20,000 square feet, the space includes a chic Chinese restaurant, an al fresco courtyard bar, and a club and lounge that comes alive after dark.
Why you should come here:
If you’re looking for a night out on the town VLV has you covered from pretty much every angle. Start your evening with classic Cantonese fare by Chef Martin Foo at the Chinese restaurant, head over to the courtyard after dinner for cocktails under the stars, and then hit up the club for more drinks and booty-shaking beats by resident DJs.
What we love:
The space is actually really nice compared to the other places in Clarke Quay, so hopefully this will start the trend of cleaning the area up a bit. For food you can go all in with a decadent meal of house specialties like the Premium Soya Prawn coated with dried chilli, curry leaf and Lea & Perrins and the Black Truffle Roasted Duck, or grab bar bites with your cocktails like the Lobster Wontons and crispy Pork Belly. The club is also a pretty slick place to hang out with a state-of-the-art sound system and VIP booths sporting leather sofas.
They have an awesome dim sum Sunday brunch with over 80 types of dim sum on offer as well as specialty teas blended exclusively for VLV and a free-flow champagne option. The brunch goes for $98++ per person without booze and $128++ with free-flow Charles Heidsieck Champagne.
You’re looking at about $40 per person for dinner not including drinks and a $30 cover charge for club events including one drink.
