Here’s what’s Hot and Happening in Singapore this September 2018

There's never a dull moment in Singapore with so many fab festivities and events going on. This Spetember we've got our calendars marked for a whole slew of social outings including fun foodie gatherings, edgy art exhibitions, and of course the much-anticipated F1 Singapore Grand Prix. Hope to see you all out and about at these happening events!


1 September - 30 September 2018

GastroMonth 2018


Fire up your tastebuds with this month-long dining event featuring over 20 restaurants listed in the Michelin guide. Tickets are on sale now for the specially curated lunch and dinner menus at select spots like two-Michelin-starred Shisen Hanten, one-Michelin-starred Shinji and other stars of the dining scene like Lewin Terrace, Rang Mahal, New Ubin Seafood, and Bacchanalia.


Before it all Goes


In a city that’s constantly changing, it’s inevitable that we lose some of our historic architecture as we progress. Artist Darren Soh has been documenting such buildings for over a decade, and Before it All Goes is his exhibition of over 50 images of some of these iconic spaces. The exhibition is now open at Objectifs Centre for Photography and Film and runs until the end of September.

Sunday on the Hill

Looking for a fun outing that the whole family can enjoy? Sunday on the Hill takes place on the first Sunday of every month in the gardens at Emily Gardens with something to please all ages. Expect upbeat rhythms, garden games like darts and foosball, craft beers and cocktails by Kult Kafe, tasty eats by Sidecar Sausages and Banyan Tamarind foods, and even dog grooming services.


7 - 8 September 2018

Bar Rouge

Get ready for an out-of-this-world birthday bash like no other because Bar Rouge is turning one and throwing down a mad 1920’s carnival-themed extravaganza that’s set to be all kinds of amazing. On Friday night, this sky-high rooftop bar will transform into a world of fun and fantasy with a fabulous carnival show and free-flow popcorn all night long. Then on Saturday, special guest DJ Keint from Bar Rouge Shanghai will be lighting up the dance floor along with DJ Styluxtakut and Fadille.

Bites & Vibes

Get down with good food, good music, and good times at Bites & Vibes, a Sunday block party with a focus on really great eats. Taking place on happening Amoy Street, this free event is open to all and will feature bites by some of the best eateries in town including The Market Grill, Vatos Urban Tacos, and Bochinche. There will also be live music and fun wellness activities.


12 September 2018

F**k Tinder

Designed exclusively with single people in mind, this light-hearted comedy event aims to get folks back out into the real world and mingling in a fun and engaging way. The night will be hosted by Scott Mitchell, a professional comedian and the best wingman you’ll ever have. Along with a crew of fellow comedians, he’ll keep you entertained and laughing the whole night long.


14 September - 16 September 

F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2018


The F1 is back for another high-octane weekend, and we’ve already got our engines revving. Besides the exhilarating races that will be tearing up the Marina Bay Street Circuit, there will also be star-studded parties, fab food and drink specials at lofty rooftop bars and restaurants, and fist-pumping concerts featuring some the world’s biggest artists.

Ice Cream Sundays 2nd Anniversary

Over the past two years, Ice Cream Sundays has grown from an intimate house party concept to a genuine cultural phenomenon, attracting flocks of partygoers to various venues. Craft Singapore 2018


If craft beers are your jam, then you won’t want to miss the new and improved edition of Craft Singapore. Art After Dark


Gillman Barracks is celebrating its 6th anniversary as a contemporary arts cluster with Art After Dark, a signature open house event. Join fellow culture connoisseurs on the evening of September 21 for interactive art experiences, live performances, and a range of fun and funky art-centred activities and programmes. The party kicks off at 7pm and will run until late.

Sunshine Nation Island Takeover 2018 

In need of a quick getaway that involves sun, sand, sea and shaking your booty to groovy beats?
