We can't keep up with all the new openings around town but we do our best to check out as many new places as possible. We're going to start to roundup our tried and tested New Finds. These restaurants have been visited by us anonymously at least once. Some are newer than others, we just have taken some time to get to a few. Here's a roundup of 8 restaurants which we think are worth a visit. We will definitely go back to these and if they are consistent, we may just add it to our Top 50 Restaurants list!
1. COMO Cuisine
Executive Chef Timothy de Souza has worked in numerous exotic locales including Turks and Caicos, the Maldives, Japan and Australia, and he brings this experience to the table at COMO Cuisine with a fusion of flavours in dishes that are fresh, modern and pay homage to Singapore’s culinary traditions. He also works with COMO’s resident nutritionist Eve Persak to make sure that the dishes not only taste great, but are also healthful and relatively guilt-free.

2. Butcher Boy
Chef Andrew Walsh just opened up his second venture down the road from his first restaurant, Cure. They just officially opened for business. If you're looking for a new hot spot, this is definitely it. Make your reservations in advance. This place has got vibe and when we see Chef Andy warmly welcoming guests, it feels like home. They've also got a Sunday Roast which they've started, and we can't wait to check that out.

3. Birds of a Feather
This hot spot on Amoy Street has been open for a little bit but we finally made our way there and we are sure glad we did. We ended up checking it out for a drink one Friday night and were pleasantly surprosed at the ambiance and thought to give it a go for dinner. We made a reservation and went in a few Friday's later. The restaurant was buzzy, there was music in the background and the back of the restaurant had a great skylight which added a warmth to the ambiance. There's a variety of food on offer and what we ate was really tasty. We'd go back and reorder the Weird Taste Chicken, Crispy Gyoza with Truffle Soy Vinaigrette and the Salmon 2 Ways.

Set in a shophouse from the 1950s, Amo fuses the old and the new with vintage features like original mosaic floor tiles and exposed brick walls, as well as modern touches like comfy cushioned chairs and an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs pulling pizzas out of the wood-fired oven. They’ve also got a lovely courtyard outdoors with a huge wall mural painted by local artist Venetia Stevens. The pizzas are fresh, flavourful and the restaurant had a good vibe on the two Saturdays we've gone.

5. Blue Lotus Chinese Grill House
Blue Lotus first opened its doors in Quayside Isle and has become famous for their Chili Crab and they've been referred to as the 'King of Chili Crab' from Wong Ah Yoke, a food critic for the Straits Times. We were excited to hear that they opened up in Tanjong Pagar. They bring with them the sauce which is served in their infamous Chili Crab in dishes including the Chilli Pomelo La Mian Sou The Oven Baked Grilled Chicken Rice was a modern take on one of our favourites with marinated grilled chicken thigh, panda rice and green ginger for a surprisingly light combo, which is something we'd definitely go back for.
