BRAS BASAH – Situated in the heart of Singapore’s Arts District, two great dining destinations that are already generating quite the buzz, recently opened its doors. Ginett is a snazzy bistro and wine bar offering European comfort food and French wines by the glass and bottle, and 25 Degrees comes to us by way of L.A. with burgers, cocktails and great happy hour specials.

Step inside Ginett and you enter a space with soaring ceilings, modish black and white hues that extend to the geometric floor tiles, and a huge glass wall that allows plenty of natural light to flow in. For seating you have your choice of dark wooden tables, long cushioned benches and semi-circular booths that offer a tad more privacy.
The menu consists of European comfort food classics like imported cold cuts and cheese, rotisserie chicken, and Australian Angus beef grilled over applewood charcoal. Come during lunch and you can sample the chef’s daily specials on the set lunch menu that rings in at just $18. They also do a fab weekend brunch with decadent brekkie dishes and bubbles from 11am to 4pm.
But here’s the best part—all of the wines are imported directly from France and you can grab glasses for $6 ALL DAY LONG. That’s right, not just at happy hour or on special nights, but every single day, all day long. You can also peruse the wine list for over 70 bottles with the most affordable starting at just $30. 25 Degrees gained such a loyal following in Los Angeles that this funky burger and liquor bar spread their wings to San Francisco, Huntington Beach, Chicago, Bangkok, Macau, and now Singapore. Here they take the American burger joint to a whole new level with slick interiors featuring lots of dark wood and scarlet walls, gourmet burgers with interesting flavour combos, and sexy signature cocktails and spiked shakes.
Their motto is ‘Not Just Another American Burger’, and their menu reflects this mantra with innovative creations like the Number One burger with caramelized onion, crescenza, prelibato gorgonzola, bacon, arugula and thousand island dressing, and the Sonoran Bobak Hot Dog wrapped in bacon and topped with caramelized onion, tomato, pinto beans, onion, hatch green chili, queso fresco, mustard and garlic aioli.
To celebrate their arrival on Singapore’s foodie scene, 25 Degrees has some great deals going on like the set lunch menu that includes a signature burger, fries and half pint or soda for just $18.
