MARINA BAY SANDS - Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck rose to stardom in the 1980s with his Los Angeles restaurant Spago, and today he has multiple dining venues around the world including right here at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. CUT is his take on a contemporary American steak house, and it ticks all the right boxes for great service, attractive decor and the stars of the show—premium cuts of meat from Australia, Japan and the US.


Why you should come here:

There’s a great ambiance going on here with a long white bar where you can have a cocktail or light bites before your meal and a softly lit dining room with lots of leather and brass. Get the staff to roll out the meat cart with different cuts on display and marvel at the marbling in the A5 Kobe from the Hyogo prefecture, Australian grain-fed Angus, and USDA Prime Illinois corn-fed beef. Once you’ve made your choice, they’ll serve it to you seasoned perfectly with a smoky char on the outside and juicy pink meat on the inside. With meat this succulent and expertly prepared, it’s really not surprising that they just earned a Michelin star.


What we love:

When you sit in the dining room, you actually don’t feel like you’re in a mall, or Singapore for that matter. You almost feel as though you’ve been transported to a sleek New York steakhouse. Of course the meat is amazing, but they’ve also got some great sides going on like the Cavatappi pasta ‘Mac & Cheese’ with white cheddar, and the Sautéed Broccolini with sundried tomatoes, garlic and chili. Be sure to save room for the sinfully good Valrhona Chocolate Souffle with a scoop of melty Gianduja chocolate ice cream on top.


UJ tidbit:

It’s pretty pricey here, so be prepared to spend. And be sure to come hungry because the steaks and sides will definitely fill you up. However, if you’re not ravenous and you don’t want to throw down on an entire steak dinner, the bar is a good option. We love coming to the bar just for a good glass of wine and some bar snacks (mostly for the mini Kobe burgers).



A steak dinner here will put you back about $150++ - $180++ per person not including vino or any other drinks.
