The Daily Cut

by URBAN JOURNEY
Who said a salad bar has to serve only rabbit food? The Daily Cut takes the simple DIY salad concept and puts a protein-y twist on it with a focus on healthy grilled meats like turkey breast, salmon and sirloin steak. You can also choose from a ton of add-ons like baby spinach, sous vide egg, cherry tomatoes and almonds.

Why you should come here:

If you work in the CBD and are looking for a great takeaway spot where you can grab a decent sized nutritious lunch that won’t cost a fortune, this is your spot. Ordering is simple, as you just fill out a form with all your desired ingredients, and they’ll whip up your creation and package it up in recyclable cardboard and brown paper, so you can feel even better about going both healthy and green. And with three locations including a new spot in Tanjong Pagar Centre, it’s super easy to get your protein fix.

What we love:

Everything here is catered exactly to your appetite, as you can choose from a Petite, Regular, Large or X-Large salad and then load it up with all the good stuff you love. Pick your protein like tilapia or steak, then tick off the boxes for carbs like brown rice or romaine lettuce, supplements like broccoli, edamame or sweet corn, toppings like coconut or Grana Padano, and dressings like sesame-peanut or mango-habanero.

UJ Tidbit:

There are only 24 seats here, so it’s more of a take-away kind of spot than a sit-down kind of place. They also do delivery if you can’t drag yourself away from your computer.

Damage:

Salads start at $9.
