There is definitely no shortage of bars in Singapore. Here is our current bar bucket list.

Acid Bar| When you need an easy-going night in a place where you can let your hair down and chill out to some live music, Acid Bar is a great spot. Located in a restored shophouse, this dimly lit space has live bands playing every night of the week, so depending on which night you drop by you could be grooving to jazzy rhythms, fist-pumping rock ballads or alternative tunes. Come by for happy hour between 5pm and 9pm daily when they have great deals on beers, house pours and martinis.Peranakan Place, 180 Orchard Rd / +65 6738 8828 / Live Music Bar

Atlas| For such a grand space, it’s refreshing to find that Atlas isn’t awash in pretence. Modelled after the Art Deco lobbies of skyscrapers in Europe and New York, the bar has a fun Gatsby-esque vibe with a tons of marble, brass railings and winding staircases. Head Bartender Roman Foltán comes via way of Artesian at the Langham in London, and he’s concocted an enticing cocktail menu that takes inspiration from the Jazz Age of the 1920s. The bar also has a huge collection of premium gins and champagnes.Parkview Square, 600 North Bridge Rd / +65 6396 4466 / Cocktail Bar

Ginett| The stylish high-ceilinged space at Ginett in Hotel G welcomes all types from leisurely lunchers to after-work tipplers and weekend warriors who come for the affordable French wine and fare. Behind the bar they’ve got over 70 bottles of vino with glasses starting at just $6, and to go with the wine there is a great selection of imported cheeses and cold cuts. If you’re looking for more of proper feed, they’ve also got European classics like rotisserie chicken, steaks and pasta.200 Middle Road / +65 6809 7989 / Restaurant & Wine Bar

Martini Bar at Mezza9| At the time of writing, Martini Bar in the Grand Hyatt is currently undergoing a major refurbishment slated to be finished in mid-2017, and we can’t wait to see what the new space looks like. However, until then you can still grab their signature martinis at the Martini Bar pop-up experience in Mezza9. Swing by before or after dinner for a quick tipple, or make a night of it starting with half-priced martinis, house pours and cocktails from 4pm to 7pm Monday to Saturday.10 Scotts Road, Grand Hyatt Singapore / +65 6732 1696 / Martini Bar

Morton’s| Morton’s may be best known as a swanky steakhouse, but their bar is also quite a happening hot spot, especially during happy hour, otherwise known as Mortini Night. Taking place between 5pm and 7pm Monday to Saturday, Mortini Night includes great deals on select martinis like classic martinis, cosmos and appletinis, and at 3oz each they certainly don’t skimp on the booze. Also on offer are complimentary filet mignon sliders to help soak up all those killer martinis.5 Raffles Avenue, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Level 4 / +65 6339 3740 / Steakhouse & Bar

The Wall| The Wall puts a unique spin on your typical whisky bar by pairing world-class whiskies and whisky-based cocktails with Japanese sumiyaki bar bites, which basically means snacks on skewers and other charcoal-grilled treats. There are over 120 whiskies to choose from hailing from all over the world, and the knowledgeable staff are happy to help you pick your poison based on your tastes and budget. We suggest ordering a whisky flight so you can compare and contrast a few different varieties.76 Tanjong Pagar Rd / +65 6225 7988 / Whisky & Sumiyaki Bar

Zouk| After 25 years of rocking the dancefloor at their location on Jiak Kim Street, Zouk has finally moved to Clarke Quay and partygoers couldn’t be happier. The new two-storey space spans 898 square metres and features three different bars, stages and dancefloors outfitted with spectacular lights, sound systems and live-streaming feeds. And in true Zouk fashion, they’re still bringing in some of the best local and international DJ talents around, which has earned them the title of Top Asia Club in the World 2017 by DJ Mag.3C River Valley Rd, The Cannery / +65 6738 2988 / Nightclub
