Lulu’s Lounge

Set up like a back-alley bar from New York City transplanted in the Pan Pacific Hotel, Lulu’s Lounge is a little bit cheeky, a little bit sultry and a whole lot of fun. Outside a red neon light beckons, while inside you have leather sofas, chandeliers, velvet curtains and lots of exposed brick painted with graffiti in special UV paint. Expect live jazz, DJs and burlesque shows, fun twists on classic cocktails and easy-going bar bites.

Why you should come here:

Lulu’s Lounge is brought to us by the same people behindEmployees Onlyand Bang Bang, so they already know a thing or two about creating great nightlife spots. Don’t expect a club atmosphere though, the vibe is much more casual-classy and conducive to having some cocktails with friends and grooving to funky rhythms and retro beats.

What we love:

Unlike many other exclusive nightlife spots in the city, Lulu’s is very approachable. The decor is quirky, as is the music, so expect kitschy memorabilia and eclectic tunes by sax players, bongo drummers, and DJs who throw boogie and old school hip hop nights. They even do burlesque drag shows once a week.

The cocktails are pretty creative like the Va Va Voom with mezcal, orange and chili flavoured ice cubes and grapefruit soda garnished with a chili-dusted cucumber, but they also have a good selection of spirits, wines and bubbles. We also love that the drinks are served on napkins imprinted with a lipstick kiss motif. If you get hungry, you can nibble on cheese and charcuterie boards, mozzarella sticks, popcorn and Wagyu beef sliders with cheddar.

UJ Tidbit:

If you’re up for a late-night party on the weekend, but not in the mood for thumping techno, Lulu’s stays open ‘til 6am on Fridays and Saturdays, which makes it a great alternative for night owls looking for something besides a typical nightclub.

Head there on a Wednesday for Le Beat Bespoke. The experience begins with two “social hours” of laidback live jazz performances and complimentary canapes to get guests in the mood. The 9 o’clock hour then rings in the start of complimentary free-flow prosecco for ladies. Find out more aboutBest free flow deals in Singapore
