The Whiskey Library is the newest addition to the single-malt scene, and it’s already creating a buzz for its sophisticated setting and thoughtfully curated collection of rare and refined whiskies from around the world.
Set in the ornate environs of The Vagabond Club, The Whiskey Library oozes class and sophistication with plenty of dark wood, plush cushioned chairs, and hand-crafted vitrines that hold over 1,000 whiskies, bourbons, and craft spirits from around the world. Peruse the collection and you’ll find rare and limited edition bottles alongside award-winning selections from some of the world’s most well-known distilleries.
This decadent drinking den is the brainchild of luxury hotelier Satinder Garcha, who developed a passion for the amber elixir on a trip to Scotland. He says, “What started out as a vacation with friends travelling around Scotland and visiting distilleries soon turned into an eye-opening journey of discovery; a discovery of the depth of craftsmanship, the artistry, the culture and the incredible history behind whiskey making.”
Garcha made it his mission to bring this artistry to Singapore, and after two years, his dream of The Whiskey Library has finally come to fruition. Of the collection he says, “No two bottles are the same. Each is unique, each has its own story, and many bottles will be unfamiliar even to the most experienced connoisseur. To me whiskey is art, and the craftsmanship behind our whiskies in The Whiskey Library is truly astonishing.”
Whiskey lovers can settle in with a scotch and cigar while enjoying sultry jazz rhythms and indulging in gourmet bar bites from The Vagabond Club.
