Pickleville: Chic Cafe on Robinson Road by the Same Folks Behind Sarnies

Looking for a sleek new spot in Singapore’s CBD to grab a healthy breakfast or lunch?  Pickleville is a chic cafe by the same folks behind Sarnies where you can fuel up on excellent coffee, smoothies, loaded toasts, and super packed veggie and protein bowls. Did we mention its avocado toast is up there on our favourite breakfast list?

Why you should come here:

The stylish interiors and cool cafe vibes make this the kind of place where you could set up a casual business meeting over coffee, hang out with a few friends for lunch or grab some light bites while checking your emails. The menu has a great selection of signature toasts and bowls, as well as a DIY option where you can go as conservative or crazy as you like with a wide variety of toppings and fillings. Even better, there are plenty of choices for all sorts of eaters including vegan proteins, grilled meats and sweet and savoury indulgences.

What we love:

The coffee here is simply superb, which is always a good start for us, and their smoothies are delish, like the Bulletproof ($9) with cacao, banana, cashew, flaxseed, coffee and coconut oil and the Cashew Berry ($9) with seasonal berries, dates, cashews and chia seeds. Also noteworthy are their intriguing sips like the Red Velvet Mocha ($6) and the Matcha Latte ($6).

We stopped by for breakfast and tried the salmon cream cheese toast ($9) with luscious smoked salmon, house pickled onions, capers and dill, and we absolutely loved it. We hear their avocado toast ($9.5) is also a huge hit. If you want to go the DIY route, you can start with their sourdough toast ($2.5) and then choose from sweet spreads like Nutella, strawberry compote and vanilla cinnamon almond butter or go savoury with marinated pickles, poached eggs, melted mozzarella and smoked ham.

Come lunchtime their bowls looks super tasty. Build your own with bases like brown rice, quinoa or daily greens, then pick your protein, veggies, sauces, garnishes and of course a variety of pickles including pickled red radish and pickled red onion. They also have ready-made bowls like the chicken ($15) with quinoa, sous vide chicken, pickled quail eggs, seed mix, pickled mushroom, pickled zucchini, roasted corn, pesto dressing and olive oil.

UJ Tidbit:

This is a great place to grab a brekky or a lunch bowl to go, but we recommend giving yourself some time to linger a bit over your food because the atmosphere here is lovely.

Damage:

A coffee and a loaded toast or lunch bowl will put you back about $15 to $25 depending on how basic or decadent you want to get.
