Why you should come here:
The owner Pav hails from Australia, which is probably why so many people feel as though this funky little cafe has been plucked out of the midst of Melbourne and plonked down in Kampong Glam. The space is super laid-back, which means by day you can chill out with great coffee and indulge in big breakfasts and hearty sandwiches, or come back later at night for some tapas, tacos and cocktails.
What we love:
If you’re a java junkie, the coffee is a must because they meticulously source their beans from top coffee producing farms and roast them in house to release all the full-bodied flavour. If you need something more to fuel up for the day, try the Coffee Cream Waffles or the Bacon and Egg Roll with homemade tomato relish. For dinner we love the Brazilian Spiced Chicken Tacos and Sambal Sea Bass Fritters with rice.
UJ Tidbit:
If you’re thinking brunch, but tired of all the usual hotel buffets and go-to spots, this is a great place to start your Saturday. You can chill out over some decent cuppas and grub and then float around Arab Street and Haji Lane after for a bit of postprandial sightseeing, strolling or shopping.
Damage:
About $16++ to $30++ per person for a meal and a drink.
