Having just released his album ‘Live in Europe’ in February of this year, Swedish singer-songwriter José González is on tour and he’ll be hitting up the Capitol Theatre here in Singapore on July 11. The concert is brought to us by Collective Minds, the Singapore International Jazz Festival and Vamp Productions, and it’s all set to be an epic evening of acoustic guitar rhythms and velvety vocals.
For those who don’t know, González started his music career playing with hardcore punk and rock bands in the 90s, then burst onto the international scene with his indie folk-rock band Junip when they released their first album in 2000. He then went on to launch his solo career with the release of his first solo album in 2003. Since then he’s been wowing crowds with his signature sounds that take influences from various genres including bossa nova, classical and post-punk.
