Back for it’s fourth edition, The Conscious Festival by Green is the New Black is all set to transform Parkroyal on Pickering into a buzzing hub of ideas on how to make the world a better place. The festival aims to empower everyone to make conscious choices that positively impact us, our surroundings, and the environment. All are invited on November 3rd and 4th to enjoylive music, art installations, healthy eats, a vibrant marketplace, and inspiring talks with innovative thought leaders and social entrepreneurs.
Start your conscious journey at the Mindful Market where you’ll find over 70 eco-friendly and socially responsible vendors selling everything from fashion to beauty products, homewares, and more. Top brands include Utama Spice for natural skincare products, Hunter and Boo for ethical baby clothes, Protesta for recycled aluminum jewellery, and Diadem Candles. If all that shopping works up a hunger, you can grab tasty, guilt-free bites from clean-eating champions like Veganburg, HRVST, and The Whole Kitchen.
After you’ve hit up the vendors and food stalls, make your way to THE TALKS Powered by DBS for fresh ideas on how to little green steps to live more mindfully. THE TALKS Powered by DBS are divided into four sections: Live, Work, Consume, and Travel. You can join all four from start to end or mix and match the ones that pique your interest. At each session there will be a range of speakers offering advice on topics like freeing yourself of limitations, going green at work, the future of food, and low-waste travel.
And as if great eats, cool products, and mind-expanding talks weren’t enough, the Conscious Festival will also feature edu-tainment for all ages including games, workshops, and immersive art experiences, as well as live music acts throwing down groovy tunes. Be sure not to miss local legends like Abby Simone, Nadia Vega, and Dr. Foo. Even better, the entire festival is designed to be carbon-neutral and zero-waste, which is just one more reason to feel good about getting your green on with GITNB.
