8 Stylish Spots to Catch the National Day Fireworks

by URBAN JOURNEY

Singapore turns 53 this National Day (that’s 9 August for any SG newbies!), and we can’t wait to get in on thebirthday bash action, especially the National Day Parade fireworks extravaganza. We’re already planning where to catch the show, which will kick off around 8pm from the floating platform atMarina Bay. In the past we’ve hit up the usual vantage points like Merlion Park, the Esplanade, and the Promontory. But to be honest, while the views from those spots are great, the lack of elbow room leaves something to be desired. This year we’ve decided to watch the National Day Parade fireworks in style, so we’ve put together a bucket list ofsuper vibey spotswhere the ambiance, food, and booze are right on par with the spectacular views.

CÉ LA VI

Perched high above the bay on the 57th floor of Marina Bay Sands, CÉ LA VI offers lofty front row seats to the NDP firework display, not to mention a slew of activities taking place all day and night on National Day. Think a family-friendly fiesta at the lounge, gourmet indulgences with wine pairings in the restaurant, and dynamic beats going down at SkyBar. Table bookings are highly recommended for seats with the best view of the fireworks.

With funky urban vibes and sick views over Marina Bay and theCBDskyline, Kinki is a very cool spot to get down with some Asian-inspired drinks and bites while soaking up the dazzling fireworks display. They are offering up a National Day brunch at $58++ and deals on their rooftop for groups at $580++, where you can catch stellar views of the fireworks.
