We don’t know about you, but our calendars are going to be packed this month trying out all the fab new restaurants and bars around town! There are so many great places to choose from, so we’ve narrowed it down to 10 different venues that we think are totally going to rock the good food, drinks, andvibes. Whether you’re into easy-goinggourmet burgersandcraft cocktails, classicChineseand Westerncomfort food, or fine dining artisan fare, we’ve got something on our October new restaurant hit list to suit all tastes.

Art

Beppe De Vito is at it again with another modern Italian spot serving up innovative, yet homey dishes. Step inside Art and you’ll find red leather seats, white linen tablecloths, and a gorgeous bar done up in dark wood. You have your choice of a five-course or three-course tasting menu that could include dishes like the Dorper lamb shank ravioli with pistachio and robiola cheese and the guinea fowl with sunchokes, kalettes, and green pepper sauce.

Dumpling Darlings

Blink and you might miss Dumpling Darlings, a tiny hole-in-the-wall spot on Amoy Street that specialises in… yep, dumplings. But do keep an eye out for the red neon dumpling that marks the spot because the vibes here are buzzy and the food is oh-so tasty. Choose from dumpling flavours like the veggie mandu, smoked duck, and fried pierogi, and pair them with springy noodles with sichuan pork or miso mushroom.

Esora

Esora, Singapore

Brought to us by chef Shigeru Koizumi and the Lo & Behold Group, Esora is a chic new spot dedicated to sophisticated Japanese cuisine. The interior is done up in blonde wood and stone accents and features an inviting counter under a skylight subtly muted with Japanese paper. The ever-changing menu is inspired by the seasons and prepared with panache so each dish looks as exquisite as it tastes. There is also a tea-pairing programme to go with each meal.

Muchachos at Cecil Street

Muchachos has reopened in a new spot and we couldn’t be happier to have our go-to burrito and taco fix spot back! This much-loved Mexican hangout has moved to Frasers Tower just across the road from the Amoy Street Food Centre, and old fans are of course flocking back for tasty eats like the California burrito bursting with beans, rice, and meat and the super stacked nachos. Throw in a few cheeky margaritas, and you’ve got a great night out after work.

The Old English House

The Old English House, Singapore

Foodies have been holding their breath for the opening of Marco Pierre White’s first restaurant in Asia, and now it’s finally open. Set in two stunning colonial shophouses featuring Straits Chinese and English design elements, The Old English House is an elegant spot to tuck into classic British comfort food with twists. Think fish n’ chips with battered turbot and sides of beef fat chips and marrow fat peas or the tender Black Angus beef rib with buttered spinach.

The Sampan

For fresh Asian flavours in a scenic setting, make your way to The Sampan in Boat Quay. Grab a seat overlooking the water and start with a refreshing Mango & Chilli Smash made with chilli tequila, mango, mint, sugar and lime. Next up try some of the imaginative plates like the blue swimmer crab and pomelo salad or the pan-seared sirloin steak with sambal green beans and pho herbs.

Three Buns Quayside

If you’ve ever had a chance to get your hands a gourmet burger from Three Buns in Potato Head Singapore, then you’ll be stoked to know that they now have a standalone venue in the breezy environs of Robertson Quay. Here you can grab boozy milkshakes, frozen coladas, and a slew of heavenly burgers like the Red Man with sous vide beef cheek slathered in rendang sauce on a coconut bun.

Zen

Zen, Singapore

Taking over the space where Restaurant Andre resided, Zen is the elegant sister restaurant to the three-Michelin-starred Frantzén in Stockholm. Chef-owner Bjorn Frantzén has partnered with the Unlisted Collection to bring his signature cooking style to our shores, so you can expect stellar dishes that showcase a fusion of Nordic, French, and Japanese flavours and techniques. The restaurant is set to open on 21 November, but they’re already accepting reservations.

Bars:

Indigenous Bartender HQ

This relaxed spot in a historic shophouse is helmed by Zurina Bryant and Kamil Fotlan, who created the Indigenous Bartender, a platform for bartenders and foodies to delve into locally sourced ingredients. Cocktails range between $22++ and $24++ and include intriguing ingredients with a local twist like pineapple caramel, strawberry shrub, and calamansi.

MO Bar

MO Bar is a new addition to Mandarin Oriental, in collaboration with Proof & Company. MO BAR is located on the hotel’s fourth floor with floor-to-ceiling views of Marina Bay. The drinks menu has been created by Bar Manager Michele Mariotti, who has worked at many of Europe’s most esteemed bars. Along with beers and wines, the menu features 14 cocktails including ‘Coconut Beaches of Fiji’ with pisco, lychee cordial and carbonated coconut cream and ‘Mother of Dragons’ with strawberry aloe vera, red dragon fruit juice and cachaça. Also available is one-of-a-kind MO BAR Pilsner, developed in collaboration with local craft brewery, Archipelago.

The Other Roof

Perched atop Ann Siang House is a funky rooftop bar brought to us by the good folks behind FOC and The Other Room. Stop by any night of the week and you can bet cool tunes will be playing and the cocktails and tapas will be flowing. Acclaimed bartender Dario Knox is renowned for his bespoke creations made with cask-finished spirits, so you’ll definitely want to try a tipple or three.
