MUST DO’s
Taipei 101is a landmark skyscraper in the Xinyi District of Taipei, Taiwan and was the world’s tallest building until 2009. Head to the top for panoramic views of the city. Be sure to pop by Din Tai Fung on the adjoining mall, which was the first born and is now turned into an international chain. The branch here in Taipei has also received a Michelin star in 2010.
Bike along the waterfron in Danshui, a little north of Taipei.
Hit upYongHe Dou Jiang Da Wang (Yong He Soy Milk King). This is a great place for local breakfast. It’s super cheap and highly recommended. The traditional breakfast is a bowl of soy milk soup with green onions and dried shrimp alongsidexiao bing you tiao, which is a small fried bun. The soup is thick and filling, so it makes for a great start to the day.
