THE SCOOP: Where do you go when you’re starving, but it’s already late? The usual M.O. is to head out to alate-night dining spot, but now you don’t have to leave the house to satisfy those night owl cravings. Porterfetch food concierge delivery service that we recently discovered that operates from 9pm to 3am daily, so you can get your feed on even while burning the midnight oil.
The idea for Porterfetch was sparked one Chinese New Year when friends Daniel Chan and Kenneth Ho realised how difficult it was to get good eats late at night. As the business began to take shape, they decided they also didn’t want to restrict people by vicinity, so they set up a system where hungry customers can order from anywhere on the island.
Currently there are over 100 local restaurants and international brands to choose from including Boon Tong Kee, Gyoza no Ohsho, Brewerkz, MOS Burger, and Starbucks to name just a few. There is no minimum order; instead the price is determined by how far away you are from the restaurant you’re ordering from. There is also a 9% service fee added to the bill, which is pretty on par with what you might pay at a restaurant.
