Calling all shopaholics! Soon you’ll be able to get huge discounts on everything from fashion to furniture, electronics, accessories and more. That’s right, we’re talking about GSS (formerly know as The Great Singapore Sale), an annual event that takes place in shops and stalls across the island. The shopping extravaganza starts on June 21 and will run until July 28 with bargains of up to 70% off on various items, as well as great deals on hotel stays, spa treatments and food and drink specials.
This is the 25th year for the nationwide event, and to celebrate the focus will be on the ‘Singapore Experience’, so you can expect pop-up booths and markets showcasing goods made by local talent in the main shopping epicentre of Orchard Road. However, the deals aren’t limited to just one area, as shops in nearly every neighbourhood including Kampong Glam, Chinatown and Little India will also be offering up great discounts.
