Singapore’s favourite music and picnic festival is back for another edition in the leafy environs of Fort Canning Park. Garden Beats brings together eclectic indie, R&B, and electro acts like Masego, Alina Baraz and The Kooks as well as eco-warriors and culinary mavens for an action-packed day of funky beats, engaging workshops, eco-friendly vibes, and great eats. New to the festival this year is the foodpanda Village, which we’re sure is going to up the ante on your Garden Beats experience.
You can’t miss the oh-so-Instagrammable entrance to the foodpanda Village. Head through the impressive archway and you’ll find yourself in the midst of food stalls by some of Singapore’s great eateries. Grab a picnic basket and fill it up with tasty treats like smoked duck dumplings from Dumpling Darlings, grilled halloumi cheese kebabs from Fat Prince, chicken flatbreads from Don Ho, crunchy falafels from Kult Kafe, tacos de asada from Papi’s Tacos and so much more! Wash it down with a hojicha or a Bailey’s and bourbon from Udders.
After getting your eat and drink on, you can have a go on the foodpanda double swing or play fun games like giant Twister, Jenga and Plinko to win foodpanda credits, picnic blankets, or even an entire picnic basket for you and your tribe. You can also chill out in the futuristic geodesic dome powered by energy-efficient solar panels and featuring vibrant tapestries and comfy cushions.
And in the spirit of conscious living that Garden Beats is famous for, the foodpanda Village will be an eco-friendly space. This means only biodegradable cups and cutlery instead of single-use plastic and recycling and food composting stations where you can dispose of your waste guilt-free. Great eats, fun games, and green initiatives? Sign us up please!
