Anguilla consists of a small main island and many smaller islets. It is located north of Saint Martin and east of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. The main island of Anguilla is a tiny island; it is 26km long (16mi) and 5km wide (3miles). It is known for its natural beauty of stunning beaches and waters.

Anguilla has a tropical climate. Average temperatures range from 25C (77F) – 30C (86F).
June through November is hurricane season, with most hurricanes occurring between August – Mid October. Dry season falls between December through March, which is the best time to go.
Getting to Anguilla
Travelers need to fly into Princess Julianna International Airport in Saint Maarten and then take a ferry or charter boat to Blowing Point, Anguilla.

Things to do in Anguilla
- Snorkel, hike or birdwatch at Prickly Pear Cay. This is a set of uninhabited islands (Prickly Pear East and Prickly Pear West) that is divided by a narrow boat channel.
- Explore Shoal Bay’s turquoise waters, white sand beaches and secluded areas.
- Take a beachside walk at Rendezvous Bay, where you take in breath taking views of Saint Martin and endless turquoise waters.
- Take a boat ride to Sandy island, a picturesque off-island cay, where you can enjoy rum punches and freshly grilled food.
Events in Anguilla
- Moonsplash is a big reggae festival held for three days in March, with multiple stages and live music.
- Top sailors from across the world gather at the Anguilla Regatta and compete. Its a four day event in May, filled with races and parties. The ultimate goal is to raise money for the Anguilla Youth Sailing Club.
- Anguilla Summer Festival is filled boat races, live music, costumes, parades and more. It is a ten day Caribbean Carnival which is the the biggest holiday on the island.
