Ziggy’s

by URBAN JOURNEY

If your idea of a rocking good time is gathering up a group of friends and heading to your local karaoke joint to belt out classic rock hits, 90s jams, and glam rock anthems, then have we got a place for you! Ziggy’s is the latest karaoke bar to hit the Singapore scene inRobertson Quay, and this place is all class. From spacious rooms decked out in comfy sofas and commemorative posters, to stellar sound systems andcrackin’ costumesand props to really get you going, this is an amazing haunt to strain those vocal chords. Mariah, eat your heart out.

Why you should come here:

Ziggy’s has plenty of space for groups of all sizes with eight rooms that can comfortably fit up to 12 people and VIP rooms and combo rooms that can accommodate anywhere from 20 to 40 people. In each room they’ve got easy-to-cue systems, minibars filled with premium snacks, props like feather boas and cat ears, and low tables that you can stand on to sing and dance.

What we love:

While we do love our dodgy karaoke joints, we also appreciate a classy one, especially one in a great location. We frequent Robertson Quay often, so it’s awesome to have another spot to hit up that’s a bit different from the usual pubs and bars. It’s definitely an added bonus that we can sing our hearts out there.

UJ Tidbit:

Happy hours run from opening time at 5pm to 8pm daily, and we recently saw them advertising a great deal where groups of five who book a room during happy hours get a free bottle of champagne. Score! The only downfall about this spot is that they close at 3am, which is early compared to many other karaoke joints.

Ziggy’s, 11 Unity Street, Robertson Walk #01-27/28, 237995, t. 6235 5400. Open daily: 5pm – 3am
