The vibes are fun and fresh at Joe & The Juice, a healthy lifestyle cafe brought to us by way of Denmark. The brand was started in Copenhagen in 2002 by a karate pro who wanted to create healthy drinks and bites for other athletes and like-minded people, and the idea really took off. Now there are Joe & The Juice branches in over 70 cities around the world, including four in Singapore.
Why you should come here:
Super fresh juices? Check. High energy servers who love putting on the theatrics? Check. Healthy sandwiches and breakfast ‘hand meals’? Check again. There are so many good reasons to come here any time of day. Come in the morning to grab a quick pick-me-up coffee and a light bite, or re-energize in the middle of the day with a guilt-free sammie and a juice. The juices all have cheeky names too like the Sex Me Up, Stress Down and Hangover Heaven.
What we love:
There is always funky music playing which makes it a fun afternoon lunch spot if you’re in need of a boost. We love the bread they make the sandwiches with because it’s thin and crispy, and they offer great add-ons like Tabasco sauce and jalapeno peppers. Each sandwich also gets a tasty pesto spread. Our go-to sammie is the turkey and avocado with jalapenos for a kick. For drinks we love the fact they use vanilla milk for their shakes and smoothies because it gives them just the right amount of sweetness.

Definitely try the hand meals if you don’t have time for a full brekky in the AM (and if you work nearby). We like the Breakfast Club with avocado, banana, strawberry, granola and vanilla milk.
