The lowdown on Sandals Dunn’s River
Sandals Dunn’s River is finally back after a complete overhaul and renovation and it is perfect for the ultimate romantic getaway. This is the latest adults only all-inclusive resort to hit the Sandals family and it is the seventh property to open in Jamaica. The resort is located in the heart of Ocho Rios, which is home to beautiful and natural attractions like Dunn’s River Falls and Blue Hole. Sandals Dunn’s River truly is a special place, surrounded by so much natural beauty.
Jamaica means land of wood and water and the idea was to have these elements in as a part of entire experience at the resort. The design combines these natural elements within its sophisticated and chic design. As you walk into the resort, you’re already encapsulated by natural surroundings and a cascading waterfall, which has water that is pulled from Dunn’s River.
Adam Stewart, the owner of the property, says this is the last property him and his late father worked together on. The location of this resort was close to where his father grew up and truly pays tribute to the natural beauty of Jamaica.
The Rooms at Sandals Dunn’s River
All the luxurious rooms at the resort are also inspired by the natural elements of Jamaica. Many of them were designed with rooftop terraces and pools.
There are 48 first of its kind beach front, Tufa Terrace SkyPool Butler Suites. Each of these rooms have a balcony with a private infinity solar-heated pool, which looks over the stunning shores of the Caribbean Sea.
The resort also has Sandals first Coyaba Sky Swim-up Rondoval™ Butler Suites with Private Pools, which means you can relax and soak in the sun in privacy.
There are a number of other spectacular types of accommodation. There are 14 room categories and 260 rooms at the resort, so you can find exactly what you are looking for.
Food and Drink
When it comes meal time, there is no shortage of options. Coffee connoisseurs can start the day sipping on coffee from the Blue Mountains at BLUM. When it comes to meal time, Sandals Dunn’s River has 12 fine dining restaurants to choose from; cuisines include Italian, Greek, Japanese, Latin, Caribbean and others. There are also nine bars that offer up premium liquors and great cocktails, so you will never be thirsty. The resort is home to Sandals® first rum bar, Dunn Rum Club, which features the biggest collection of rums on the island.
Getting to Sandals Dunn’s River
Your stay includes transfers to and from the airport. Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Kingston all have airports which you can land in. and you will be transferred from wherever. Do note, the drive from Montego Bay to the resort is about two hours.
