From Michelin Star restaurants, bars on World’s 50 Best list, and renowned Singapore cafés, the hottest F&B brands throughout Singapore are showing that they care by making a gift in charitable support of www.DineToDream.org, which supports Beautiful People’s mission to ensure that the less advantaged in society and at-risk young people’s DREAMS MATTER!
“During the holiday season we want to bring people together to give back to the less advantaged in society, and there’s no better way than to create a convivial atmosphere around giving than through good food, good friends, and to do good at the same time,” remarks Meena Mylvaganam, fundraising chair of Beautiful People’s Dine To Dream Campaign.
Each restaurant is participating in different ways: Some restaurants are hosting a one-time-only events; others are giving a $1 per every patron who walks through their doors; or, a few have created special festive menus with a portion of the proceeds from sales of those specially created dishes to benefit the organization.
“We had the fortunate opportunity to collaborate with Beautiful People to co-create signature dishes and drinks inspired by the organization’s mentors, mentees and their families for Basilico, Dolcetto, Manhattan and Summer Palace,” exclaims Oscar Postma, General Manager of Regent Singapore.
People can join in Dine To Dream and show their support by dining at as many participating restaurants throughout the month of December. This year fundraising is ever-so important as Singapore’s Bicentennial Community Fund matches donations dollar-for-dollar up to $400,000 to Institutions of Public Character charitable organizations like Beautiful People. The more patrons dine at participating restaurants, the more funds raised in support the organization and the mentee/mentorship program. No additional ingredients required. It’s that simple!
“Our lifestyle concept restaurants are set within heritage listed venues and Singapore’s heritage is rooted in local communities,” suggests Loh Lik Peng, founding director of Unlisted Collection. He continues, “When Beautiful People approached us about giving back to Singapore’s less advantaged, especially during the gift giving season, it was a no-brainer for the entire collection to join in the organization’s mission to change lives!”
