1. Beer Factory
Quaff a few cold ones on the patio at Beer Factory where pints of craft beer go for just $8.80++ from 3pm to 7pm daily. Options include the Monster Green Lager, Czech Pilsner, Kolsch, Hite and Guinness. Soak up all those suds with tasty bar bites like the breaded calamari, chili pakora and chicken Spam fries. 2. The Black Swan
Set in a 1930s landmark and boasting opulent Art Deco vibes, The Black Swan is a swanky spot to meet up for post-work drinks. Come between 5pm and 8pm on weekdays and you can enjoy house spirits, wines and draught beer for just $9++ and oysters for $3++ a pop. If oysters aren’t your thing, they also have small plates like spiced nuts and sourdough bread with whipped beef fat butter.

3. Cin Cin
Gin lovers this is your spot. Cin Cin offers up a huge selection of boutique gins and artisan tonics, so you can customise your G&T or martini just the way you like it. Stop by between 5pm and 8pm on weekdays and you can grab 1-for-1 house gin pours, Carlsberg and red or white wine. And if you stop by on a Saturday, you can indulge in three hours of free-flow gin, beer and wine for $68++ per person.

4. Cook & Brew
If it’s Wednesday or Friday, make your way to Cook & Brew where you can sidle up to the black marble bar, settle into a red leather stool and sip on house wine, beer, spirits and classic cocktails for $10++ from 5pm to close. Or you could go for a bucket of five Asahi beers for just $40++. Wednesday is also ladies night, so round up your girl squad for free-flow cocktails and live music.

5. The Exchange
This stylin’ CBD spot may just have the longest happy hour in Singapore with drink specials running from 9am to 8pm daily. Specials include house pour spirits and bottled beers for $8.50++, five bottles of San Miguel for $40++ and glasses of house wine for $12.50++. If you’re planning on getting an early start, we suggest rounding out the booze with bites like pizzas, nachos or sharing platters.

6. Fat Prince
Soak up the sultry Ottoman vibes at Fat Prince, a kebab and cocktail joint offering Middle Eastern inspired drinks and fare. Happy hours run from 5pm to 7pm Monday to Saturday and include $10++ beers. If you don’t mind spending a bit more, the cocktails are to die for. Our fave is the Sultan’s Martini with cardamom infused vodka, dry vermouth, honey and olive essence.

7. FIVE Oriental
Can we get a holla for $5++ drink specials all day every day? There are a number of FIVE concepts around town, but FIVE Oriental at Raffles Place is the most convenient for CBD workers looking for very reasonably priced after-work tipples and live music. The special includes beers, house wines and spirits, and sometimes they throw in extras like sake or shochu to shake things up.

8. The Guild
When The Guild opened just down the road from our HQ on Keong Saik Road, we immediately fell in love with it for its laid-back vibes and awesome craft beers. Try some of the Young Master beers on tap for just $8++ for a 200ml pour or $12++ for 450ml during happy hours from 12pm to 8pm daily. And don’t even get us started on the divine comfort food by Chef Vincent Lauria. The mac n’ cheese with egg yolk and char siu bacon will blow your mind.

9. Kanpai 789
Japanese beer garden Kanpai 789 doesn’t have happy hour specials per se, but they always have rotating promotions going on like discounts on whiskey, soju and gin. Plus the regular beer prices are better than many happy hour specials around town with Sapporo Premium going for just $6.80++ a pint and Sapporo Black going for $7.80++ a pint.

10. Kinki
The decor is urban and edgy, the rooftop patio offers great breezes and views, and the drinks are cheap and cheerful at Kinki, all of which make this a wildly popular spot with CBD’ers out for an after-work drink. From 5pm to 8pm Monday to Saturday you can grab 1-for-1 beers, wines and spirits along with Japanese bites like spicy miso edamame, sushi, and tempura.

11. Loof
Loof gives you a good excuse to skip off work earlier with happy hour specials that start dirt cheap and then go up every hour. Starting from 5pm to 6pm, house spirits, beers and wines and are just $5++, then they go up to $6++ from 6pm to 7pm and finally $7++ from 7pm to 8pm. You can also grab Kronenbourg and Asahi beers and glasses of Prosecco for $10++.

12. Morganfield’s
Step inside Morganfield’s at Suntec City and you find a warm and welcoming space with plenty of high top tables and counters where you can chill out with a pint and some good old American style BBQ. Happy hours run from 11am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and all day Sundays with $10++ pints and $9++ glasses of wine and spirits.

13. SG Taps
Tucked away in a historic building on Duxton Hill, this cosy craft beer spot has a plethora of bottled beers and 10 beers on tap that rotate regularly with options like the RedDot Monster Green, Archipelago Irish Ale and Crossroads Session IPA. Small beers start at $8 during happy hours and you can grab tasting sets of six draught beers for just $24 with no GST or service charges added.

14. The Spot
Wind down after work with a whiskey and a cigar at The Spot, a multi-purpose space that boasts a restaurant, bar, cigar lounge and bottle shop. Rough day at work? Super Loco at Customs House will sort you right out with its buzzing atmosphere, tasty tipples and authentic Mexican eats. There’s always something to cheers to at Tap Craft Beer Bar because pints and glasses of wine go for $10++ and 12 oz beers go for $8++ all day every day. The craft beers on tap are always changing, so on any given day you could be quaffing Eight Ball Stout by Lost Coast Brewery, Arrogant Bastard Ale or Straits Pale Ale by Singapore’s own Lion Brewery.

17. The Trading Floor
Sleek and sophisticated are just two words to describe The Trading Floor lounge and bar located in the lobby of the Carlton City Hotel. Happy hours run daily from 3pm to 8pm with wines by the glass, house spirits, half pints of Tiger, and bottles of Asahi and Strongbow $10++. Want a late afternoon drinks, but still need to be connected to the office? Take advantage of the secretarial services in the lounge.

18. Wine & Chef
Italian wines are the focus at Wine & Chef, an intimate resto-bar on happening Keong Saik Road. During happy hours you can sip glasses of house wine for as little as $6++ depending on what bottles are in rotation. And if you get hungry, you can nibble on cheese and charcuterie platters or heartier Italian dishes like pasta, risotto and grilled meats.

19. Wine Mansion
Wine Mansion recently moved to a bigger space on Keong Saik Road, which is great because this place fills up fast with CBD workers who flock in for drinks at incredibly wallet-friendly prices. No matter what time of day, you can grab glasses of house wine for $8.50++, house spirits for $10++ a pour and Sapporo draught for $8++ per half pint, $10++ per pint and $50++ for a tower.

20. 360 Lounge
If you’re after more of a club vibe than a bistro, restaurant or hotel bar, make your way up to 360 Lounge on the 20th floor of Oxley Tower for thumping beats and beers and house pours for just $6++.
